2017 Schedule released!

With less than two weeks to go, things are a little busy back at HCamp HQ.  Apologies for the radio silence when it comes to official updates, this is going to be a biggy! Grab a brew and settle in.


Thursday Night Hilarity

Last year, we had a ball with our Scottish Country dancing, so this year, our very own Harmony Camp Boss lady, Andrea Day will be making her Barn Dance calling debut.

She has been taking lessons and knows her balance and swing from her do-si-do and is ready to make an absolute fool of herself on the mic.

Come along to the welcome meeting on Thursday night, and then get your dancing shoes on. It’s bound to be hilarious.


Friday night Frivolity

During the day, 53 campers are taking part in our circus skills workshops which are free for kids and just £5 for an hour for the adults.

The evening time, gives them all a chance to demonstrate their new found skills in our mini circus show and Barber-Q fuddle night. Barber-Q – get it? And if the odd quartet might just get up and give us a song, then no-one is going to say no….

A fuddle is just “bring some food and share with the group” type thing. so bring a chair, table and something to add to the group buffet and picnic.

Our Saturday Night Spectacular

From our quiz mistress, Hannah Braham;

“Get excited – the Harmony Camp 2017 Quiz is ready to go! I’ve taken on all of the feedback from last year and the quiz for #HCamp17 is bigger and better than before! There’s a couple of rounds to test your barbershop knowledge and I’ve also brought back the picture and sound-byte rounds. This year we also have some general knowledge and pop music questions too, so you can get your pub quiz head on! Get thinking about your team name and we’ll see you there on Saturday night.”

Bring your chairs, table, pen and glasses for beers and watch out for our own HCamp Youth Chorus who will be entertaining us with their camp song.

 


Barbertots at HCamp

On Friday and Saturday our little tots can come together for a play date and some “Baby Rhyme”, lead by Charlotte Knight.  She says:

“The idea behind it is something for the younger ones to join in by sharing some time with their parents by singing through some nursery rhymes. Even doing actions with them.  It doesn’t matter how old any of the tots are, we can all sing and interact together.”

Getting Crafty

During Friday and Saturday there will be two FREE craft sessions for adults and kids, lead by Alison Thompson. Just turn up!

Come along to the tag teepees to indulge your creative side and make a square weave dream catcher using sticks, wool, beads and sequins.  These will look great hung up outside your tent, caravan or camper.  All your materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring any of your own – and even forage for your own sticks!


Plenty of Pole cats!

Thanks to Tyler Wiggington, our plethora of pole cats (6!) for the HCamp Chorus is complete and available on the attendees section of the website.  Get learning!

Helping Hand

This year, we have our very own paratrooper in the making on hand to help out when you need it.  Joe was a huge help to many campers at last years camp, so this year we have decided to make it official.  Joe can help you as an extra set of hands to put up your tent, go fetch you water, build things and move things from A to B.

He will be around all weekend so do give him a shout – he is there to help!
