Who is behind all this?
Harmony Camp is organised by Andrea Day and Duncan Whinyates.
Andrea is a British Barbershopper with not enough time on her hands to come up with so many crazy plans like this!
She a keen barbershopper and sings with Cheshire Chord Company, The MIX, and Hannah and the Hurricanes.
Duncan also is a keen Babershopper with years of barbershopping under his belt. He sings with Reckless who placed 21st at the International barbershop convention in Pittsburgh and Nashville and also sings with mixed quartet Hannah and the Hurricanes.
Where is the campsite?
Hampton House Farm, Combrooke Road, Kineton, CV35 0JH – it’s near Stratford-upon-Avon and just off the M40. If using sat nav, the postcode doesn’t take you directly to the site as it is a rural area. If you can enter co-ordinates, use: N 52 degrees 09.869 W 001 degrees 32.312.
How will the electric hook ups be allocated – SOLD OUT?
As there are a limited number of electric hook ups, we are allocating them on a first come first served basis. Please be aware that your pitch is less flexible and maybe slightly smaller if you want a hook up due to the location of the electric points around the field. Please bring the longest hook up cable that you have access to.
When will we have to stop singing?
One of the main requirements that we have stipulated to the camp site is that we are in an area where we can make noise late into the evening. There is not a noise curfew in entertainment area of the site, but we do ask campers to keep the noise down in the accommodation areas after 10pm
Can Kids and dogs come?
Yes. Dogs are £6.50 for the weekend – they must be kept under control, ideally on a lead. There are discounted ticket prices for children, depending on age. Please note that there is a small fishing pond at one end of the field; it is your responsibility to ensure that your children in your party are safe.
What size tent can I bring?
You can bring whatever size tent you have. We are charging per person and not per tent.
Can I bring a gazebo and wind breakers?
Yes and yes. Please be sensible and respectful when you pitch up allowing enough room between tents and not too much that you are hogging the whole field. There is no charge for this.
If you have a day pass then you can bring shelter for you and your party as long as you don’t sleep in it overnight.
Can I bring my caravan or campervan?
Yes! There are no hard standings but there is plenty of room for caravans and campers. There is no additional charge for bringing a caravan or camper rather than a tent.
Can I light a BBQ?
Yes – but they need to be raised off the ground so that they wont damage the grass or soil.
What happens if it rains?
It’s Britain, it’s the summer, – of course it’s going to rain; BUT we have a big top for a communal area where we can gather in the evenings to carry on the fun and not get wet.
I don’t “DO” camping… but I want to join in the fun – can I just come for the day?
Yes! We are aware that some would prefer the comforts of a B&B or hotel nearby and we respect that! So, we are offering a day passes for the site. Please book in, in advance so that we know numbers and can ensure that we have enough facilities on site to accommodate you comfortably.
Can I bring a tent / shelter on a day pass if its raining / for storage / food / privacy / baby shelters?
Yep – please don’t bring anything too big like a 7 man tent or anything, but we appreciate that you might need a space to call your own for the day, especially if you are bringing kids. Kids are free to take naps etc – but we ask that you don’t sleep overnight. If you do, we will have to ask you to upgrade your pass to a full weekend entry.
Is there car parking on site?
Yes – loads of parking is available at no charge. You can drive on the field to get set up so no carrying all your stuff from the carpark to your pitch. Once set up, those in caravans and tents will be asked to move their cars to the car park area.
Why do I have to pay so early?
Harmony Camp is being organised by individuals that have no financial backing to bank roll the payment of deposits to secure the facilities that we need for the camp. Because of this, we need your funds asap to ensure that the date, location and facilities are all securely in place to ensure that we all have a great weekend.
If I cancel can I get my payment back?
Plans change and things happen, we get that! Because we are booking facilities and paying deposits based on the numbers booked in, often not all your money can be returned as we might have already spent some of it! Any proportion of your money that we haven’t had to spend or attribute to facilities that we are buying in based on the number of people booked in will be returned.
Unfortunately, Any cancellations after May 2017 will not be eligible for any refund.
What time can I arrive at the site and when do we need to leave by?
The site will be open from 12noon onwards on Thursday the 1oth August 2016. Please try not to arrive on site before this time as it is likely that we won’t be ready for your arrival!
Camp will officially close at 3pm on Sunday but we have the site until the end of Sunday, so you can strike your tent late into the afternoon, depending on when you need to head home.
